London Heathrow Express Airport Trains to London Paddington

London Heathrow trainsThis train has three stations at Heathrow Airport: one in the Central Area for terminals 1 2 and 3, another in terminal 4 and a six platform station under terminal 5.

The journey to Paddington Station only takes 15 minutes and costs £15.50 single or £29 return. Or you can pay £16 for a day return. Tickets can be reserved by telephone, online (save £1) or bought at self-service booths at the stations. Children under 15 travel free, when accompanied by an adult up to a maximum of 4 children per adult. 

Timings: Trains leave Heathrow Airport every 15 mins from 05:10-23:40. Trains also leave Paddington every 15 mins from 05:10-23:25.

Disabled/Special Needs Travellers on the Heathrow Express

disability services at Heathrow AirportThere is wheelchair access on to the platforms and all platforms are level with the trains at Heathrow and Paddington, allowing easy access. All door control buttons are low level, have an audible signal and are illuminated.  There is wheelchair space on each train with accessible toilets.

Heathrow Connect Service

Heathrow Express Train at Hethrow AirportAlso operates between Paddington and the airport, but takes longer than the Express (25 minutes) calling at Heathrow (T1,2&3) - Hayes & Harlington - Hanwell - Southall - West Ealing - Ealing Broadway - London Paddington. Passengers using Terminal 4 can use the Heathrow Express to get to T1,2 or 3 for free.

Timings: Runs Monday-Saturday every 30 mins from 05:22-00:56. Sundays every 30 mins from 06:13-00:06.

Cost: To Paddington (London) £6.90 single, £12.90 return. Day return £11.90. To Hayes and Harlington £4.90. To Ealing £5.50.

Train & Bus Service to Feltham Station

Bus 285 from Terminals 1,2 & 3 to Feltham Railway Station ( buses run 24 hours a day every every 10-30 mins and cost £1.20), then train eastbound to Hounslow, Twickenham, Whitton, Putney, Teddington, Clapham Junction & Waterloo (Central London), or westbound to Ashford, Staines, Windsor, Bracknell, Ascot, Winnersh, Earley and Reading .

Cost: One Day Travelcard gives access to areas all over London available after 09:30 for £5.10. Trains also run from Feltham to Ipswich & Stratford.

Underground Service from Heathrow Airport

Heathrow airport has three Underground stations for Terminals 1, 2 & 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. There is also a station at Hatton Cross. All provide regular train services on the Piccadilly Line into Central London. You can see a map of the underground system here

Route: Heathrow Terminal 4 - Heathrow Terminal 5 - Heathrow Terminal 1, 2 & 3 - Hatton Cross - Hounslow West - Hounslow Central - Hounslow East - Osterley - Boston Manor - Northfields - South Ealing - Acton Town - Turnham Green - Hammersmith - Barons Court - Earl's Court - Gloucester Rd - South Kensington - Knightsbridge - Hyde Park Corner - Green Park - Piccadilly Circus - Leicester Square - Covent Garden - Holborn - Russell Square - King's Cross/St Pancras (for overground trains)

Timings: Trains leave Terminal 1,2 & 3 Mon-Sat every 5-9 mins from 05:13-00:22. Sundays 05:57-23:30.

Travel Times: The average journey time to central London is 45-65 mins depending on destination.

Cost: The one-way fare to Zone 1 (central London) is £3.80. If you arrive after 09:30, a One Day Travelcard costs £5.10 and gives unlimited travel on London Underground tubes and buses. Ticket machines at the stations accept UK coins and most give change. Some accept UK notes (bills).

RailAir Service from Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Railair Coach Heathrow to ReadingThe RailAir services provide a link to and from rail services on the local and national rail network from Reading, Woking and Watford Junction. Travel time to Reading is 45 minutes.

Reading RailAir: connects the South West, the West Country, South Wales and the West Midlands to Heathrow.

Route: Heathrow Central Bus Station - Reading Train Station (Blagrave Street Exit). On the return to Heathrow, the bus drops at Terminal 1 UK Arrivals, Terminal 2 Departures and Terminal 3 Departures

Timings: Buses leave the Central Bus Station Monday-Friday at 05:05, 06:05 and then every 20-30 mins until 22:05, 23:05 & 24:00.

Weekends & Holidays they depart at 05:05, 06:10, then every 30 mins until 20:40, 21:20, 22:00, 23:05 & 24:00.

Buses leave Reading Station daily on every hour and 20 minutes past the hour from 04:00-23:05.

Cost: £13 single, £14.50 day return and £21 one month return. Children travel half price.

Woking RailAir: is a coach service providing a direct link from Woking Rail Station to the central bus station at Heathrow. Woking provide a link to areas including Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Guildford, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester to the airport. 

Timings: Buses leave Heathrow Airport central bus station every 30-60 mins from 05:45-23:00 with a journey time between 50-60 mins depending on the traffic. Buses leave Woking Train Station every 30-60 mins 05:30-22:00.

Cost: Adult fare £9.

Watford RailAir: operates between Watford Junction Railway Station and all terminals at Heathrow with a journey time of 40 minutes. The service runs in conjunction with Virgin Trains services from the north west

Timings: runs every 30 mins from 05:30-23:30.
