Liverpool John Lennon Airport Trains
There is no railway station or connection to the airport at Liverpool, but you can take various buses to Lime Street Railway Station, Liverpool Parkway Station or Hunts Cross.
Bus 81A runs to Hunts Cross which is a very small station about 10 minutes from the airport. It operates trains which run to Manchester - Oxford Road (45 mins), and Liverpool Lime Street and Southport. Change at Oxford Road for trains to Manchester Airport ( transfer time airport to airport 1 hour 40 minutes at cost of £10.20).

Liverpool South Parkway is the main train station which serves Liverpool John Lennon Airport and offers links to Liverpool City Centre, Warrington, Manchester, Birmingham and Wolverhampton on City Line trains and Bootle, Formby and Southport on Northern Line trains
To get to Liverpool South Parkway Station from Liverpool John Lennon Airport catch the new 501 Express which takes just 10 minutes, and runs every 20 minutes (Monday-Saturday daytimes)
Liverpool South Parkway - Southport Station (Merseyrail) via Liverpool Central, Bootle and Formby. Every 15 minutes, Monday - Saturday, services run to Southport via Liverpool Central. A half-hourly service operates on Sundays.
Liverpool South Parkway - Manchester Oxford Road (Northern Rail)
There are two trains per hour between Liverpool South Parkway and Manchester Oxford Road and an hourly service operating on Sundays.
Liverpool South Parkway - Birmingham New Street (London Midland) Via Runcorn, Crewe, Stafford. A half-hourly service operates Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays.
Liverpool South Parkway - Nottingham (East Midland Trains) via Manchester Oxford Road and Piccadilly, Sheffield. Hourly service between Liverpool South Parkway and Nottingham (many services carry on to Norwich.)

Trains from Liverpool Lime Street
The Airlink 500 bus runs every 30 mins to Lime Street Station which is Liverpool's main station in the city centre on the Liverpool branch of the West Coast Main Line to London Euston and Glasgow Central. The transfer time from the airport is around 35 mins.
From here Northern Rail operate services to Manchester Victoria via Huyton, Warrington Bank Quay, Manchester Oxford Road via Warrington Central, Manchester Airport via St Helen's Junction and Manchester Piccadilly and BlackpoolNorth/Morecambe.
Central Trains operate services to Norwich, Nottingham and Birmingham New Street.
Transpennine Express run services to Newcastle, Middlesborough, Scarborough and York. There are two daily services to Middlesborough from Lime Street, two nightly services to York, one morning service to Newcastle and hourly services to Scarborough.
Virgin Trains operate to London Euston calling at various stations but always stopping at Runcorn & Crewe.
