Isle of Man Airport
Isle of Man Airport (also known as Ronaldsway Airport) is the major domestic airport on the island. The airport is situated in the south of the island at the ex-RAF base Ronaldsway between Ballasalla and Castletown, which is about 11km southwest of the island's capital Douglas.
The airport has two runways and serves around 700,000 passengers a year. In April 2008 toe airport was granted a major runway extension and resurfacing project which involves the extension of the main runway out into the Irish Sea by the construction of a reclaimed rock-armoured strip of land.
