Isle of Man Airport General Information

Isle of Man passenger services informationThe distance from the Isle of Man Airport to Port Erin and Port St Mary is approximately a 12 minute journey (depending on traffic). The Port of Douglas is the capital of the island and is about an 18 minute journey.

The Information Desk is situated on the ground floor.  As you enter the terminal building turn left and the desk is on the right adjacent to the taxi office, on the same side as the check in desks.  The information desk also offers tourist information.

Children's Facilities at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man passenger children's amenitiesUnfortunately there are no dedicated play areas for children at the Isle of Man Airport. There are two baby rooms available in the departures lounge, first floor and also one on the ground floor.  On the first floor next to the Cafe Oasis there is a baby changing unit.

To occupy the older children there is a viewing area on the first floor which gives excellent views of the runway.

Disabled Facilities at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man disability servicesThe airport is well laid out and equipped to help disabled passengers. 

Remember that if you are going to require any assistance or special needs when you arriving at the airport, then you must confirm this when you book with the airline or travel company, as ultimately it is there responsibility and not the airport's.

For dropping off and picking up there is reserved spaces at the front of the terminal building.  Normal parking rates will apply if you use these spaces.

The terminal building is on two floors and has lift access.  For public announcements there is a hearing aid loop system.

There are several public telephones in the terminal building which are at a height that is accessible by wheelchair.

Toilets on both floors have a disabled toilet and are wheelchair friendly.

If you will need assistance in boarding the aircraft, then make this known at the time of booking your ticket as there is a lift at the airport to the aircraft doors for wheelchairs etc. This also applies for when you land.

Also, confirm any arrangements that you have made when you check in.

Internet Facilities at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man internet & Wi-FiThe Departures Lounge and buffet areas have Wi Fi access if you have a laptop that is compatible. Unfortunately there isn't any other type of internet access within the airport.

Medical Facilities at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man passenger medical facilities Currently there are no first aid or pharmacy facilities.  If you need assistance, contact the Information Desk on the ground floor.

 

Pet Travel at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man flying petsCheck that the airline you are travelling with offers this facility.

If you wish to fly your pet in or out of the UK, then you will need to check that your pet has the correct vaccinations and passport. If your pet qualifies then it will remove the need for them to spend six months in quarantine.

Money Changing Facilities at Isle of Man Airport

Isle of Man currency exchangeYou will need to exchange any money before you arrive at the airport as there are no facilities within the terminal building.

Cash points are available on both floors (Nat West and HSBC).  Sterling and Manx currencies can be used at the airport.
