Edinburgh Airport busesAll the public buses pick up and drop off outside the UK arrivals area.

Buses to Edinburgh and other local destinations stop on the terminal forecourt, outside the main entrance. Other buses stop at the eastern end of the arrivals area from the bus shelters. Timetables are available from the travel desk in the UK arrivals hall and the information desk in the international arrivals area.

Edinburgh Airport Bus Information

Edinburgh Airport Airlink BusAirlink 100 & 100 Express (100X) to the city centre. The bus departs from Stand 19 outside the arrivals area and NOT from the bus stops further down

Route: Airport - Maybury (For Marriott Hotel 5 mins) - Drum Brae - Edinburgh Zoo - Murrayfield (Rugby Stadium) - Haymarket (for trains) - West End, Princes St (at Frederick St) - Waverley Bridge, near Princes Street and the main rail and bus stations..

Timings: operates from the airport to the city daily 04:50-00:20 running every 10 minutes (early services every 20 minutes) at peak times through the day.

Cost: £3.50 single, £6.00 return (reductions for children). You can buy a ticket on the bus, from the Information Desk (International Arrivals) or at the bus stop. Check www.flybus.com for further information

No. 22 night service calls at Stand 19 and operates every 30 minutes throughout the night and connects the airport via South Gyle to the city centre and on to Ocean Terminal in Leith between 00:47 and 04:13, seven nights a week. Journey time 28 minutes. Fare: £3 flat fare (unlimited travel for one night).

No. 35 service calls at Stand 21 and runs to the city centre and on to Ocean Terminal, with stops including RBS World Headquarters, the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Timings: Buses leave the airport at 15 minute intervals Monday to Saturday daytime and every 30 minutes evenings and Sundays.

Journey time: About an hour depending on traffic (Holyrood).Fare: Single £1.20, day ticket £3 (reductions for children).

Airdirect 747 calls at Stand 22 and is a direct service to Fife (Inverkeithing Railway Station and Ferrytoll Park and Ride - for connections to megabus services) and is operated by Stagecoach. www.airdirect747.com

Timings: Buses leave the airport Monday-Saturday every 20 minutes (hourly on Sundays). Journey time: 25 minutes

Cost: To Inverkeithing £4.50 one way or day return, Ferrytoll £4.50 one way or day return.

Services 555 and 777 Horsburgh Service to West Lothian calls at Stand 22 and operates every half hour to to communities in West Lothian, including Livingston, Broxburn, East Calder and Mid Calder.

Service 64 (North Edinburgh). E & M Horsburgh operates an hourly bus from Stand 22 to communities in North Edinburgh, including Cramond, Davidson's Mains, Muirhouse, Pilton and stopping at the Western General Hospital. Journey time: Approximately one hour to/from the Western General Hospital.

Edinburgh Airport Shuttle Information

Edinburgh Shuttle service provides buses every 15-30 minutes from Stand 19 outside the the airport arrivals hall with pick up and drop offs within the Edinburgh City Centre. www.edinburghshuttle.com

Cost: £3.50 for a single passenger. Open return £6.00. Extra passengers £6 each. Child fares are £2.00 singe and £3.00 open return. Tickets are available from the driver.
