Trains at East Midlands Airport
Unfortunately there is no train station at the airport, but it is conveniently located for local connections to the mainline rail network. The railway stations of Loughborough, Nottingham and Derby are all just a short bus ride from the airport.
With the regular bus services available you can link up with the train stations at Loughborough, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Long Eaton which is only a small station and although there are links to London, they are not frequent. Derby and Nottingham would give you more choice and frequency of destinations for your onward journey.
If you are travelling to Derby, Loughborough or Nottingham railway stations you can save money by purchasing a combined train and bus ‘add-on’ ticket from the railway station where your journey begins. ‘Add-on’ tickets can’t be bought online or onboard the train. For fare information, contact National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50
East Midlands Parkway opened earlier this year. For trains stopping at Parkway check National Rail Enquiries. Passengers can connect to Parkway on the Railink bus which operates every 30 minutes from 07:00-23:30.
