East Midlands Live Flight Departures
Departures From East Midlands Airport
When you arrive at departures there are two entrances, one into main departures and the other is EasyJet´s own departure area. It is well signed to the left of departures and looks like a separate building, though you can walk from one to the other.
As you walk into departures all the check-in desks are immediately in front of you and all in one row.
Remember that for International and European flights you need to check in two hours before you are due to depart. For domestic flights it is just one hour.
There are a couple of shops and cafes in the departures area, before you go through passport control. There is also a currency exchange counter and a travel agents. You will be able to have a snack and a drink and also buy your newspapers, magazines, books and sweets.
In the Easyjet departure area they now operate express check-in. This is done on touch screen stands and is very easy to operate, and there is normally a member of their staff on standby to help. This machine will print your boarding card and the label for your luggage. Once you have these you just need to take your luggage to the desk as you normally would, and then walk through the normal check in area and on to passport control.
Express check-in has also been introduced in the general departures area which means that you don´t have to queue to check in and do it on a touch screen. They are easy to use and the kiosk will print your boarding card and the tag for your suitcase. The kiosks are lime green so they are easy to spot and are in the main check in area.
